I'm having my tummy done May 4th, and will admit, I'm soooo nervous about it!!!  Any advice, words of wisdom, encouragement?? All would be appreciated!  I know everyone is different, but will ask anyway, how painful is it, and for how long? Since I won't be home now til later this evening, thanks ahead of time to anyone who wishes to respond to my "big baby" questions.

I can't say the TT was even painful. There was discomfort involved. On a pain scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being excruciating, I'd say mine was a 1. Because I had a bracchio at the same time, getting out of bed was hard but my husband was beyond helpful. I'm 10 weeks post-op and I still have a little swelling but that is it. From 4 weeks I was doing the same activities as before surgery.

I think the biggest thing you can do is take your pain meds around the clock for a couple of days. I had surgery on a fri and my last pain med was Mon morning. It's more of an extreme tightening than incisional or lower abdominal pain. The drains do sting a bit, but I would do this again even if the pain was 100 times more! Good luck...you'll do fine!

LadyDi50....

I am right behind you with the TT. I have been approved and should be getting my date by tomorrow or Monday. I can't wait... This has been a waiting thing for me. Insurance is covering. What else can I ask for.

Good luck with yours.

what insurance do you have and how are you getting it covered?  I would love to at least get my TT covered.  Please let me know. Thanks

Tara

Hi Tara, sorry I was so long with a reply, my computer has been down. I have United Healthcare insurance. My  doctors office submitted to insurance because of some skin sore issues and surprisingly, I was approved right away. I was documented with some pictures of the skin issues, that really helps. Anyway, good luck to you!

I'm following you also on May 25th. TT, BA & brachioplasy. I'm not too worried about the tt - the brachioplasty - on the other hand has me very worried. Not eing able to lift 5 pounds for weeks has been very limited.

Are you having lipo as well??
