I am in the process of preparing for the surgery, I am getting a quote of about $5,000 in California but I am still getting a lot of information on the doctor. 

I need help finding a surgeon.   I went to Athenian and they quoted me $13095 for an extended tt.   Outpatient in their office to include anesthesia.   Any suggestions?   I would also need to finance.   Thank you all

That is high. I paid under $7100 for mine last year with Dr. Capella. That included surgeon fee, hospital OR, general anesthesia, ambulance transport, and overnight stay in the care center. 

Try Care Credit for financing. Some surgeon's offer zero interest. 

Teaching colleges are another option - Baylor, Northwestern, Yale (or was it Harvard - I get the two mixed up), UPenn... Are a few that I am aware of. 

The prices here seem to be much higher too.
