Ok so I have a consult with a local PS, but I still want to check out resident programs.  I have contacted Lahey Clinic, Harvard school etc - they all say no - they do not do discounted resident rates!! I am confused because I have heard women on here talk about resident rates in the Boston area.  Anyone who has gone through a resident program with reduced rates can you please send me the contact info? I would really appreciate it!!  (I am in Rhode Island)

RI hospital has such a program. If you check the internet for Brown plastic surgery training I think there's a link. I have the info someplace but will have to go through some paperwork to find it if you are not in a hurry and/or have trouble finding it. They are much less expensive.

I have sent you a PM with a list of Resident Training Programs.  I do not know which of these programs offer a discounted fee option but at least this will give you some place to start.

Mass General has a residency program, I had my arms done there and they look super! The Dr's are from Harvard. I am also scheduled 5/18 for implants. The appointment number is 617-726-2760, you have to get a MGH blue card number before they'll even make an appointment. I don't have that number anymore, but I'm sure if you call the clinic they can give it to you. I think they have a consult fee now. I've been very pleased with all of them. I wanted to do a TT with my breast, but they won't do it. They said it's too much work and they wouldn't be able to do as good of a job if both are done at the same time because of time constraints.
Good Luck

The blue card is just a registration card that I think anyone that goes to MGH needs to have. I don't know who you're talking to but the number I had in the previous message is where I call for my appts. The arms were about 3500 and my augmentation is going to be about 5200-5500 and if I had done the abdominoplasty at the same time it was 8K, which is the price I got near home for just the abdominoplasty.

Here's the original posting from another message board I frequent.

Hello Everyone,

I finally have all of the phone number for you for the plastic surgery clinic at Mass General. I had a friend call today for prices and you will be amazed at how low the fees are. I wish you the best and please give me some feedback as to how your experiences are:

MASS. GENERAL PLASTICS CLINIC INFORMATION

1st- Call MGH general number to obtain a Blue Card number if you have never been there before. 1-617-726-2000 ask for the registration center.

2nd- Call the plastic surgery clinic at 1-617-726-2760 and tell the secretary that you would like to make an appointment for a consult.

Hope this helps
