You could try having them fax it to you, then YOU fax it to the insurance company. I've actually had them on the phone and said "I'm hitting the send button, are you getting it?" at least that way you KNOW that it was sent.
PS: write down the name of the person you talked to, that's the other thing, telling your story again and again because you never get the same person twice.

Our paper work submission consists of the letter, all the diagnosis codes for the health issues you are facing from excess skin, the proposed procedure codes, photos, and of course all the doctor visits you have had over the past 6 months that document excess skin causing your rashes or skin issues. Oh, your prescription records too.
We also choose to include a "packing list" so INS won't come back and re-request stuff.
It's kind of a big deal, and if a code does not match up they will reject the whole thing.
We ask patients to give us a month from the time of their visit.
Years ago, I spend nearly a thousand dollars on registered letters because I was tired of hearing "we haven't received it." Well....I quickly learned that INS physically receiving a letter and then actually getting it into their system for review are two different things !
My advice would be to ask your docs staff about how long it takes from them faxing it to actually getting a response from them !

Sometimes it takes a little while for the paperwork to be scanned and recorded by the insurance company. If it were me I would give it another day or so. If it then is still not received by the insurance company I would get the name and fax number of a real live person at the insurance company where the information could be sent and ask that the paperwork be sent to that person and a copy sent to you.
