Post op clothing

I am 10 days away from a brachioplasty and BA on the 29th and I am worried about what to wear for the first few days post op? I have read somewhere that cami tanks with the shelf bra are a good option and comfortable.  I bought a few from walmart and I purchased a front close sport bra.  It's also stressful because I'm not sure what size I will be at after surgery.  I'm having 350cc silicone implants under the muscle and I'm starting at a 32 A, so I'm hoping to be a full C but with post op swelling Im not sure how much larger I might be til the it subsides.  Any suggestions for clothing to sleep in also at night? Is it more comfortable to wear loose long sleeves or to remain in a sleevless shirt? Well any suggestions will be extremely helpful as I continue to prepare.

You will probably be in a "surgical bra" after your procedure so you won't be able to wear a tank top with shelf bra.
You'll want to have a bunch of tops that either zip up or button because it's MUCH easier than struggling to pull something over your head....especially if you are not going to have someone dressing you.

After about 2 or maybe it was 3 weeks I allowed to start wearing a sports bra and I lived in the sports bra for at least 2 months before I started wearing regular bras.  Keep in mind the underwire styles will put pressure on the new incisions....you want those incisions 100% healed before you start messing with them.

I always tend to be extra careful and extra conservative when it comes to my post-op....I want the very best results, the best healing of incisions so long term I don't have scars, bumps, or anything odd looking so I wore my compression garments for 3 months after things like the TT, LBL, and am doing so now after my inner thighs....

Hope that helps.....

I wore terry type zip up robes the first few days when I was at home and then wore jogging suits with zip up jackets to the dr's office. I stayed in my robes for a while at first since I wasn't allowed to shower for the first 3 or 4 days anyway so I didn't have to worry about taking my clothes off and on. I was able to move my arms pretty well after the first week or so and I eventually transitioned to something loose to pull over my head without a problem.  I wore tshirt gowns a lot by then too. Chances are you won't be going out the first week so you won't care how you will look. Once you feel better you will have a better feel for what works for you and then you will be able to go shopping (sooner than you think). Don't worry about buying too much before surgery because you may not use it. At least that's what happened to me!

I wore all my XL T-shirts for both my brachio and BA/BL. I never found that I had an issue w/ getthing them over my head. Maybe it was because they were so large.

I had my Brachioplasty/BL/BA 2 years ago, and wore the surgical bra/ace bandage wrap until I had my drains removed (had one coming out of each armpit) with large zip front shirts. My surgeon had me wear a bra that was one cup smaller along with the Balero Style compression garment once the drains were out.
