Hard Knot near scar
I had plastic surgery (abdominoplasty, muscle repair) in August 2007.
Last week, I noticed that just under my bikini scar about 1/3 of the way over from the left side, there is a hard knot. It didn't hurt, and it was about the size of a dime. Tonight, I noticed when I was pulling my robe together to tie it, my hand braised the knot and it hurt! It is red now, and puffy, and of course, there is pain. Also, the knot has grown in size to about a little over a nickel, perhaps 'almost' the size of a quarter.
Do you think this is related to my plastic surgery?

I don't know but I sure would call my doctor.........

Ttoally normal, they do layers of sutures and that is scar tissue underneath.. It will go away with time I had several of them some in my breast and along the bikini line it has been almost 5 months and the bikini line has definately lessened some gone completely but it goes away.

Seems like a long time for it to be plastics related, but hey you never know. I work for a plastic surgeon and let me tell you from experience, no question is a dumb one, and no question is too small. Make the call put your mind at ease. If it is something related you can have it taken care of. My motto better safe than sorry! You are obviously worried about it because you posted, MAKE THE CALL lol. xoxo
