Plastic Surgeons in Ohio

Hi I was wondering if any one from around the Cleveland or Youngstown Ohio area has had ps.  I need to start researching a good Dr. and would like some recomendations.  I appreciate all the post and pictures you all share. thanks for any help.

I don't know of anyone up in that area, as I live in South Western Ohio.  I have heard quite a bit about going to Brazil for Plastics though.  In fact the plastic surgeon who will be speaking at some of the OH conferences is from Brazil.  Since we have to pay for plastics on our own, I am definitely going to be looking at options outside the country.  How much weight have you lost and what are you thinking of having done?

thank you for your response,  I have lost 140 pounds and for sure want my arms done.  would like lbl,  need thighs but worry about that, the breast could use a lot of help but do not know how much I will be able to have... worry about my age being a factor as I am 65...I have read a lot that go out of the country.  will have to check into all... thanks again

I am 67 so I will be at least 69 before I will be contemplating PS.  Like you, I worry about age being a factor.  Please stay in touch and let me know how things go.

I'm in Cleveland!  I found Dr. Leedy through the surgeon search on this board.  I had my consultation with him in November and am scheduled for surgery on 5/28 and 6/25.

I've met with him once since the intial consult and found him to be very good at making me feel at ease and setting my expectations.  His website is www.drleedy.com.

This is what I'm having done:

May 28th: Circumferential body lift with gluteal augmentation and brachioplasty & thoracoplasty

June 25th: Bilateral breast augmentation with mastopexy and medial thigh lift

I noticed that Dr. Schauer was your WLS surgeon - When I had my RNY in '99 it was in Pittsburgh through is practice.  He was suppose to be my surgeon, but his partner at the time ended up taking my case.  I was suprised to find out that the Clinic courted him away from UPMC.  He's an excellent surgeon and trains his team very well.
