Help with Cigna

I am in CT and going to see Dr. GoodKind about getting plastic surgery for a Tummy Tuck I have alot of skin I am 8 years post-op from WLS and have been the same weight for 2 years now ! I have CIGNA for INS I wanted to know if anyone worked with CIGNA before and got it covered ?! 

I have skin rashes and back pain from this and have a hard time playing with my kids If I start running around with them I get a ra**** is very depressing.

If you have been to the doctor for the rashes over  a period of time, they may cover some of the costs for skin removal.  Be sure your PS is willing to go through the approval process !

As the Doctor mentioned, the insurance company is looking for medical necessity.  If you haven't already, take pictures if it helps tell the "story" and see your PCP monthly, complain of the rashes or other health issues, ensure he documents it in his medical records, and do this for about three months.  Be sure you get pescriptions for anitibiotics or creams and get them filled and keep receipts for proof.

Ultimately, you have to make a case the is a need based on medical necessity and not cosmedic.
