Tummy tuck - haven't had kids yet!?!?

Okay,  so I'm 30 years old and have lost over 100 lbs and have maintained my weight for almost a year.  I'm ready to have a tummy tuck and breast lift/implant!!  I found a great plastic surgeon and should probably direct this at him but...

I hope to have kids some day!  I'm not married, or even in a relationship at this point - but am hoping to find love and have a family!

Has anyone had a tummy tuck and gotten pregnant years afterwards?  Am curious if it's a waste of time/money?!  Will I have to have it done again at some point?!  I'm very impatient and impulsive and will probably go ahead with it regardless as we don't know what the future holds and this is something I think will benefit my life immensely...

Wondering your thoughts!

Hugs,
Kristen

I've had it all done and haven't had kids yet and hoping to someday. I didn't wait cuz it was too bad and even thought kids are something I want doesn't mean it will happen. I didn't want to sit around and wait another 4-6 years for something that may never happen. If my stomach gets stretched out a little bit w/ having kids, oh well I'll deal w/ it. You'll be like every other woman in America that's had a few kids. It may be fine or may not but something I was willing to take a chance on.

IMO, even if it stretches some from having kids it would never be as bad as what I got rid of w/ the tummy tuck. Currently I'm loving how I look and feel so for me it was well worth doing it now. Especially if you are not married or dating someone you will feel much more confident in yourself while trying to find the right one for you. Maybe it shouldn't matter but in our superficial world it does.

Hey... I am 29 and engaged with no children and do not want children but you never know... I am having my surgery next month and if in the future I become pregnant, not that I am planning it because I honestly have no desire to have children, then so be it... I would definitely have the plastics now and also check the pregnancy forum... Good Luck

Hi, Would you mind sharing the name of the plastic surgeon you found? I live in the Boston area and am still looking for someone great.
Thanks!

I had a tummy tuck in 2000, then in 2008 gave birth to twins!! I would say, taking into consideration that I aged and had twins, my stomach bounced back really well, it is flat, but I did get alot of stretch marks (but like the others said, that would happen either way) Good Luck!
