WAHOO!! I think I turned the corner and am heading UP!

Finally, I think my pain is turning a corner now and Im feeling just a tiny bit less daily. Im feeling good here the last couple of days too.
Im healing well (except a little tiny spot but Ill worry about that when my Surgeon worries!) and just in general pleased with everything at the moment.  Only issue Im having at this point is residual panic of the bowel impaction, basically any and everytime I have to poo I kinda start to panic, heart pounding etc worried that Ill sit and NOT be able to go. It's sad and pathetic and hopefully not long lasting.

I went to my OB/GYN today for well-woman check and got the Depo shot and will be scheduled next week for the "essure" sterilization procedure to make sure I dont randomly get pregnant now that I have paid thousands for skin removal. LOL!
Anyway - while there she saw me and double taked. She was said "When I saw you last time you looked great, but now you look FANTASTIC!"
It sounds like a simple compliment but it's one I NEEDED to hear today. And it made my entire day so good!

Anyway - just wanted to say that there is finally LIGHT at the end of the tunnel!

Wow, what a way to make your day - to have your OBGYN tell you that you look fantastics since the last time she saw you. I'm glad that you are feeling that you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

That's awesome! How far out post op are you? I'm feeling a little better everyday but not so much a light yet. Maybe a little bit of a glow? I mean don't get me wrong I'm feeling better than I thought I would I just wish the healing was going a little faster. I would really like a full nights sleep. As it is now I'm up every 1 1/2-2 hours because of pain. I have to reposition then go back to sleep. How are you sleeping?

What a nice compliment from your OG/GYN!

Have you tried taking Marilax (sp) it is very gentle and you can take it daily.  I had some of the same issues and it has been working great (pooing like clockwork...LOL).  I took it every day for two weeks then started every other day.  Good luck!!!

PS thank you for sharing your experience...I go for a consult next month and can't wait to see how it goes!!!!

Yes  -I am taking it every other day currently and Im doing well with pooing but there is a slight panic I guess kind of like....PTSD but less severe? Its like even as my body is freaking out and my heart is racing I KNOW it's silly to be scared every time but I can't stop myself....

Congrats on feeling better and on getting all the cool compliments....it never gets old hearing how good one looks.  For me I think it's because I spent so many years NOT hearing how good I look that now I still get giddy when I hear compliments.

Keep heading to the light..........LOL
