Wahoo! I have human feet again…..Thanks to the compression hose it looks like the swelling is going down.  Still a little bit puffy but I feel so much better, much more human.

The red itchy skin (reaction to the steri-strips/tape) is not itchy anymore!  :-)

Now if I could get the whole poopng thing completely regulated I’ll be the most happy girl……

LOL, isn't it funny what can make us happy - having human feet, pooping.........Glad to hear the compression hose is working. Take good care of yourself.

I'm so happy for you Ruth! I agree Skylar, its a crack-up, the things that make your day when you are post op! Ruth, I got the pooping going regular with 3 Ducolax stool softeners every morning and a glass of prune juice mixed in apple juice 1/2 each (we call it muddy apple juice). I just had to mix it with the apple juice or there was no way I could drink it. It worked wonders for me though.

Glad your feet are back to normal. I'm still working out the whole BM thing too. I still have one drain, but no stitches! Yay! Everything else healing well?

That is very good to hear.  I can't believe my surgery is just like 9 weeks from now.

Where did you get your hose?  My calfs are not as badly swollen but my knees look like I have footballs stuffed up my pants.  The compression garment does not come down that low.   Can wear some of my bigger jeans..so that is good...loooking forward to just getting back to wearing my clothes again!  AHHHHH!

Oh and I am going to do a 2 day cancer walk in May.  I did not PURPOSELY have my leg skin chopped off right before I do this...between a band slip and a reschedule...it was put out 3 months.  (sigh)

Pink Warrior...I will do it!

That's how mine started.....FOOTBALL KNEES! (great description).

I got mine at the local Medical Supply store (found them in the phone book...the old fashioned way).  They sell on line too but I didn't want to wait for shipping I needed them right away and I am SO GLAD I got them.  Well worth the money (cost me $41.00).

Hope you find some close to you....I feel sure they will help you.
