Tummy Tuck

Anyone ever get tummy tuck paid for without any rashes.  I have lost 100 pounds and have alot of excess skin in my lower abdomen and stomach but don't get any rashes.  I really can't stand all this skin.  It gets in the way trying to buy clothes and it does itch sometimes but no actual rashes.  And as you all know, it looks terrible.  I can deal with the arms and thighs but the abdomen and stomach drive me crazy.  I have Medicare for my primary and Empire BC/BS for my Supplemental plan.  I had no trouble getting them to pay for my RNY but don't think plastics will be so easy.  I can't afford to pay for it out of pocket.

I have BCBS PPO and they paid for my tt without me submitting any documentation for rashes.  Good luck!

Hi tummy tuckers! I was approved for a medical loan because I have the same problem with belly area like so many others in here.  I didn't want to go with my insurance because they would not cover unless I had rash problems which I do not.  Question how long is recovery from this procedure, were you in constant pain? How was walking and bending, sleeping?  I am also getting breast reconstruction all for the low price of $3500.
Anyone know about breast recon recovery time also?

Rbb825, maybe you can get approved for a medical loan too?

I had almost no pain from my panniculectomy, but had a LOT of pain with my TT (done as separate surgeries).  The only problem I had after my panni removal was the pain  in the butt drains.  After my TT, sleeping on my sides was not an option for several weeks.  I had a problem with incision breakdown and necrosis which left a giant crater to heal up on my belly (took 6 months to fully heal.  My surgeon makes the muscle VERY tight and I was still walking somewwhat hunched over when I went back to work at 6 weeks post-op.

Whoa, that sounds harsh.  I'm sorry you had to go through all that..i certainly hope that my recovery isn't as painful.
