FYI: Sneezing will NOT blow your new Belly Button off......

Damn! Im such a board hog tonight....BUT....

In case any of you were wondering (like me) if your belly button could possibly BLOW OFF YOUR BODY when you sneeze, I got word from a very good plastic surgeon that it will NOT. It will feel like it is, but it will remain in place.

I sneezed for the first time tonight....well....first and second. I always sneeze in twos and Im not sure if this counts like when you vomit and you call it once even though you wretched like 4 times...or do you say you puked 4 times when it was really one episode........anyway whatever, I digress.
I sneezed and it felt like had my binder not been on - this thing could have blown off my body and stuck on the big screen in front of me. Now that would have been a mess.....so I made sure to contact my surgeon and make absolutely SURE that I wasn't going to lose the damned thing and end up subbing it with an old stale fruitloop.....

BUT - if you do sneeze - apparently holding a pillow firmly to the spot will make it hurt a little less....or at least if it DOES blow off - it will be right there on the pillow and so it will save you the trip of having to get up and retrieve it...not to mention the embarassment of having everyone see that it was indeed YOUR button that just blew off............



Just sayin.

I was more concerned with my muscles ripping apart underneath the belly button.

Yeah....to me it kind of felt like my belly button was sewed to my muscle and just like....was trying to come off them...it was not a pleasant experience for sure.
At least coughing isn't hurting as bad now as when I first got home from surgery - good thing too cause now I got's me some allergies!

Girl you crack me up!! LOL I may smile at your funny posts but this made me literally LOL!! What a visual...I think I have some old fruit loops or honey nut cheerios in the pantry if you need some!

I remember the first time I sneezed and it DIDN'T hurt. Did the happy dance on that day!

Reminds me of the time when my daughter was a new born and her belly button bits came off. Took us 2 weeks to find it...sure enough, there is was under the dresser. Or maybe it was trail mix...now I digress.

Melissa - Thanks! Make sure you leave a little baggie of them for me at your next Appt with Dr. Lo, JUST IN CASE! He told me not to blow my belly button off cause "Im outta spares!" 

BTW - I did a happy dance the first day I was able to pass gas without doing this terribly sexy squating leg lifting thing that Im sure my husband has been traumatized by! LOL!

Can you come & entertain me while I recover!! I actually look for posts from you - to get me started in the morning.

That's cause I have NO LIFE! LOL! Im a photographer who is JUST getting business started - therefore mainly on computer all day long designing marketing materials, website, portfolio and constant contact with Clients. My majority of clients are weekend so during the day I take little breaks when I can and pop online! LOL!

Im not sure how entertaining I really am o_O haha but if you could just follow me around on a normal day Im sure there is enough going on that is so obscenely BIZARRE that you might find it amusing! LOL! My life.....oy vay it's so weird!! HAHA!
Where do you live btw? If you have surgery with Dr. Lo - I will ABSOLUTLY come see you here in Houston! Ill even paint your toenails (if you dont gnarly feet!)!!!

Alas - I live in CA ~ about 30 miles south fo San Francisco - right on the coast.

I'm having my surgery done in Costa Rica - my DH & I will be staying 2 weeks. He even knows who you are now!! I say in the mornings "Honey, listen to what EB said/did today!!"

Then I go pack something else .. .stool softners, now a small pillow!!
