I am 3 months post op.  I had a mini breast lift with implant, a tummy tuck with liposuction, fat grafting to bootie, and medial thigh lift.  I noticed a big difference post op to my tummy area.  I did however notice that there was always a small indention running down the midline of my abdomen.  I figured it was part of the swelling and would eventually go away.  I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that I still have a roll of fat in my tummy area mainly when I sit.  I think some of the tightening in my abdomen has loosened.  Is this possible?  I also think that I should of probably gone with the anchor cut to better deal with this particular area.  Any suggestions on what can help tighten this area?  I haven't gained any weight and I've been trying to work out more.

Yes it most definitley can loosen up.  If you have swelling like most people do you really won't be able to tell if you will have loose skin until the swelling resolves.  Not only that, some of our skin can loosen up in time even if it is tight initially.  WLS skin doesn't have the elasticity of non-WLS skin so it is possible for it to loosen.  I personally think that those that may not have been overweight their entire life may have better skin too so that may also be a factor as to why some stay tighter than others.  The anchor cut definitely would have helped with the loose skin above the belly button.  I had the anchor cut and I just had my anchor cut revised to remove a small amount of loose skin that appeared months after my LBL.  I had swelling for so long it was really hard to tell those first few months.  The only thing that I think that you can do to help with the loose skin is to get it revised and have the dr remove a bit more skin.  I know lots of drs do free revisions for things like this especially since sometimes it can be done in the office.  I'd wait a couple of more months if you do get revised.  You want to wait until all or most of your swelling has resolved.

Hope that helps!
