I had my RNY July 2009.  I was 250 preop and 9 months later i am 140.  I'm 27 and starting grad school in the fall.  I would like to have a tummy tuck, my legs done, butt injections, and breast list w/augmentation.  ppl tell me not to do it till summer 2011.  I have been stable for 2months now and reached my goal.  I see some have gotten theirs as early as 9m. or a year....anyone know of anbody *****grets getting it done so early?   Pls any info is good info....Thank you!

I waited the extra year to give my skin time to recover and to land at my "bounce back" weight.  My skin and general health is MUCH better than it was last year at this time and I am glad I waited and leveled out prior to plastics.  Having my plastics this Thursday, on my two year WLS Surgiversary.  Not saying you should wait, just saying it worked for me...  Good luck, Robin

Most surgeons will want you to be at goal and stable for at least 6 months.

I reached goal at 9 months and had my TT at 15 months.  Its really up to your and your Dr as to when you should have it.  Some Dr's want you to be stable for a certain period of time, others don't really care.

I was stable for 4 months when i saw my WL surgeon last - he said then "are you thinking of plastics, if so, nows a good time to do it"...

I had my reconstructive surgery 13 months post op, but my weight was stable for six months.  It's really your decision, do what you think is best.

Good Luck!!

It was not quite a year when I had my plastics done. I was 1 pound from goal and had been stable for three months. I am in love with my new tummy and am so glad I didn't wait.
