Insurance Approval QUESTION!! PLZ HELP!

Hi Everyone!
Well... I have 2 surgeons. #1 is out of network and I have been going to him since October and taking pics and doing all the fancy stuff. They submitted my file to the ins. on Dec. 23rd. I didnt anything from anyone and called my ins on March 1st. My ins told me that there was never a file for me. I then called my doctor's office and cried to them. Then they told me I will not be covered by ins. Gave me of $price of $19,350. for my surgery (OUT OF NETWORK) Price.

Last Friday, I went to go see surgeon #2 (1 floor down and IN NETWORK) The lady there wrote down all of my background and took pics and talked to the surgeon. They are about to send in my file to ins but need a letter from my derm. doc. (not a problem).

TODAY..... I got a phone call from doc#1 telling me I got approved for TT, but does not cover the OR. OUCH! I can't afford it. $3000. I know I can get financed through a credit company but I really dont want to pay that much plus ded.

My QUESTION IS........
Can I call my ins and have them move my approval to SURGEON #2? and Hoping that since surgeon #2 covers more since he is IN NETWORK....

Congratulations on getting approval.  Generally, the second surgeon will have to submit to the insurance company for preapproval.   Good luck.

I also think the second surgeon will need to apply but should be worth it in price savings.
