I wanted to put a note in for Dr. Krieger.
When I found out today about the suspicious deposits in my breast in the mammogram, Dr. Krieger was very, very kind.
He talked with me on the phone at the radiology office and suggested we postpone and not take foolish risks by going ahead with tt. If the worst were to take place, he said, we would need the belly skin for reconstruction. (scary)
Amazingly, he also offered to clear a day of appointments in the office to fit me in for surgery in April if all turns out to be benign, so that I can do the surgery before an important travel date I have scheduled. That floored me -- never heard of that being done before.
And he expressed regret that I was going through this.
He is clearly a very, very good man and I am grateful to have him as my surgeon.
(when I told a friend of mine, her first question was to ask if he was single LOL)

Now that you mention it, he did something like that for me too. I'm trying to schedule my surgery around 2 of our kids graduating from college with enough time for recovery. I only had a few dates that would fit, or have to push my LBL surgery out to July which I really don't want to do. Who would want to recover from LBL in the heat of the summer? Not to mention that it would screw up any boating and swimming in the lake.
Dr. K does surgeries on Mon and Wed, but I'm scheduled for a Thursday, so I guess he did the same for me. Or Lesie did. He's got a great staff too.
