First let me apologize for my typing, I'm on happy drugs and my sight is kind of fuzzy. My surgery went really well Praise God! I'm really surpised at how good I feel. What's bothering me most is gas. My arms have been relatively painless. The being hunched over definately is no picnic though and now I know why everyone hates their drains. Tugging little buggers they are!. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I added everyone *****quested to be friends. I have not yet put post-pics up yet but I will hopefully tomorrow or the day after. My wonderful surgeon Dr. Mazaheri took pictures of thr removed skin. It totaled 6.5lbs. I will be posting that picture as well
I can't say enough about my surgeon and his staff as well as the hospital staff they were amazing! If anyone in Arizona is looking for a plastic surgeon, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mazaheri!
Well I'm gonna take a couple of laps around the house to try and work some of this gas out. I will let you all know when my new pics are up.

Walking definitely helps with the gas....
Hope you continue to heal nicely and event free!

I haven't had much of an appetite so whatever I do eat I make sure it is high in protein. Also I have been drinking bottles of Isopure from GNC (Tori here on the list told me about them) they each contain 46 gms of whey protein. The walking has definately helped with the gas. I had a little bit of a rough night last night trying to get off of my back incision I eventually was able to find a way that was comfortable and I slept for 3 hours straight. It was wonderful!

Glad you got some sleep...each day gets a little better.
I'm ok....my biggest complaint is the swelling around the knees and calfs...ugh....can't wait for it to go down.
I'll have to check out that Isopure.....how many calories for 46 grams of whey protein??

I'm glad to hear it gets a little better everyday. Sorry about your knee swelling, I will continue praying for your rapid recovery.
Isopure sold at GNC:
each 20oz bottle is a serving and each serving is 160 calories 40 gms of protein. They come in a bunch of different flavors. I have the apple-melon ones and I also like the fruit punch. Trying to get my protein in, they are worked really well for me especially now post-op. I just don't have any appetite so it's nice to have a clear liquid with protein in it to drink. I brought 3 bottles of it to the hospital and had my husband and sons give it to me as soon as I was able to drink. They are a little pricey though. With my GNC card it was 39.99 for a case of 12.
