I had breast implants and lift on 3/16 and recently i have noticed that the skin on my breast is becoming increasingly tender.  Can anyone tell me how long this lasted for them?

I noticed you still haven't gotten an answer so Im going to answer.
I didn't have implants but also had my surgeries on the 16th. I know that my breasts too, have become increasingly tender and occasionally stinging (nerves connecting). You are not alone!

I had implants on the 12th (no lift this time....that was done 2 years ago).  I can say that this week, I have noticed a lot less pain/tenderness than last week, whew!  Like the seat belt isn't bothering me anymore....noticed that this morning.  Now, I'm just waiting for these things to move down to their final resting place so I'm not so self conscious and so I can enjoy!

I had a bl/ba seven months ago, the tenderness can last for months.  If I remember correctly my breasts were tender for the first 4 months straight.  Even after that I would get a sharp pain in them.  Did you have your over the muscle or under?  Mine are under the muscle.

Good luck with your recovery!

Not to scare you but I had surgery on Feb 19,2010. I have had a lot of issues with my right breast. In my heart I feel like it might end in a removal of the implant. The funny thing is I have no pain. So it goes to show we are all different. I only replied because I know how frusrating it can be. I waited for days with no reply. In my case it is understandable.  I have heard of zero people on here that have had edema, with fluid leakage from a lift with implants. Unfortunatly.... that was my reality. Good luck to both of us on our journey.....

I'm so sorry you've had to go through so much!  I should have researched more before getting implants, I don't think I would have changed my mind, but I would of been more prepared for the recovery pain.  I just thought it would be a little sore for a few weeks and then all would be good.  I had no idea that my skin would feel all sensitive all over the way it does.  I thought it would be only muscular and incision pain....

It will get better for you it takes time. I agree about needing to be better prepared for this surgery. It is almost like I was put under a spell of sorts. I informed only a few peeps and neglected my job and school all in the name of a fast, simple breast lift with augmentation. Well here I am 6 weeks out and still complaining about the unknown. The things I  over do and under do make me crazy. Keep us updated about your recovery.

Jennifer - I hope that you will be healed soon!  I know the downfalls and they are bad.  There is such an idea that you can have these surgeries quickly and without really needing to consider the other things in our life, or take the time needed to heal.  I know the day we met, you must have thought I was crazy urging you to allow more time to heal when some people seem to be able to jump back into things so quickly.

I hope that you will not need to have the implant removed and that the healing will progress.  Hopefully, you will not need to delay your next surgery to continue to heal  Hang in there! I've been thinking of you often, and wondered how you were faring.  Is the doctor in Woodland Hills able to help you?  Do you have a date with Dr. Lee now?  I will follow up wth him in June related to possible revision on my side.

Thanks Jennie it is always a delight to hear from you. I am waiting for a date. Dora has not called me yet. I am thinking of possibly pushing it to July ;(   I don't want to but I am thinking of taking a summer class. With the rate at which I heal it could take me into August from a full tummy tuck procedure alone. I am hoping for the best possible recovery, while preparing for the worst possible scenario.
Oh yes the day you and I met,  we sat under the canopy in West LA while you explained all the positives and many negatives . At that point I felt like I was in to deep to change anything. Our conversation  had a major impact on me after.....I was scared to death but still went towards the copping block, I had many loose ends in my work life, personal life to sew up.

I wont make the same mistakes. I am waiting for my husband to schedule his guys for work so that I know what free time he will have. Thanks for thinking about me Jennie.
