Leslie, thanks for your letting me know your experience. I've been massaging since day 10 per my drs instructions. It does help. I really appreciate that you said that it felt like someone was cutting your scars open but they were fine - that really helps. I will start stretching them more.

I'm about 3.5 months post-brachio.  My range of motion is back to normal and has been for a while.  I stretch them a lot and massage my scars.  I also wear silcone strips under my compression sleeves that helps flatten and smooth my scars.

I had brachioplasty done in January and I know what you're talking about! I noticed just within this last week that my range of motion is considerably better. I have been working out "as usual" and that seemed to help loosen me up. I also had some problems with my left arm... swelling and it almost felt as if there were a tourniquet wrapped around my bicep. It's starting to get better, as well. I think it just really takes quite some time. I wasn't fully prepared for the length of time for healing after brachioplasty. I had just assumed it would be the same amount of time as every other surgery I had. No dice, though!

My doc keeps telling me that patience is key. (And I admit to NOT being the most patient person sometimes!)

I had my arm surgery the beginning of October. It wasn't until about Feb when the majority of the pulling sensation went away. I still have it every once in awhile - probably always will - we now have scar tissue there.
