I can relate....I have an area in my armpit that popped and I know it is 100% our fault that it happened.....nothing to do with my surgeon.  We are going to try some butterfly bandages on it tonight and the surgeon will stitch it up when I see him at my follow up appointment.

I'm watching an area on my left left groin area very closely.....it's very lumpy/bumpy and rather ugly looking but I'm hoping it will "calm down".  The right one looks great.

There is always a little something we have to deal with, it's expected after so much slicing and dicing....... hopefully it doesn't become anything major.

Hope your leg calms down.....I bet you'll be thrileed in the end.

Best wishes on your continued recovery

Beautiful results!  Good to hear you are pleased with it too.  Sounds like you found an awesome new surgeon who takes good care of you.  Do something fun for yourself as you continue to heal!

Ruth,

Thanks for sharing!  After looking at your pics, I am thinking there is hope for me!  I definitely need a revision (surgery Nov 20) , but my doc says no, they are as good as they get.  UMMMM NO!  I have already visited with another PS and he says he can do the revision with a good outcome.  Nothing like just throwing money down the drain.

Your arms look WONDERFUL!

If you really feel you need a revision I'd be persistent...if you are not comfortable and confident in the first surgeon find another.....LISTEN TO YOUR GUT!!!!!!

What bothers me is it's obvious (at least to me) that a revision is needed.  I am going to post current pics later.  My surgeon just keeps saying "but they look so much better".  Well yeah, they look better.  You know, I looked so much better after I lost 75 pounds, but I went ahead and lost another 60 pounds or so, to be out of the "obese" category.  So, I don't want to stop at "better".  I want "normal".  Current surgeon said revision is not possible.  So, I guess I will be moving on.  Wish I could get a refund!

I'm most surprised to hear a surgeon is saying a revision is not possible.  If I were you I'd have a consultation with another surgeon to get another opinion on it.

This is why it is so important to be very clear about expectations before surgery is done.....that gives the surgeon the opportunity to say yes I can deliver what you want or no that is not realistic and then we may have to change our expectations some.

I totally understand about you wanting more than just better.........go for the gold!!!

Wow, your new surgeon did such a much better job. I had my bracchio on 2/10/10 and if mine surgeon had left as much as yours, I'd have been mad. Thank goodness you have a new doctor who did a great job the third time!

Third time is the lucky charm - what a pain that you have to have surgery 3 times to get it perfect instead of the first time. They are looking so normal.

I'm just glad things are wrapping up for me with plastic surgery....I hope to heal from this and then take a good long break before doing any MINOR revisions...no more major procedures for me!
I thank God I've done this well and just want to start living my life.  :-)
