Arm Revision (3rd time is the charm) - new pic posted

Some of you who have been here for a while know that I had a full Brachioplasty last year (3/26/09).  From day 1 post op I felt the surgeon had not taken enough skin off.  I reiterated this to him with each post-op visit.
Finally at my 3 month visit he agreed there was more that could have come off.  We discussed a plan for a revision.  I was hesitant but went ahead and had him do it.  Instead of doing the lipo and skin removal as discussed he just did lipo on the arms so once again I was left with loose wrinkled skin and in need of another revision!

I found a new surgeon who has done all my other procedures (TT, BL, LBL, Inner Thighs) and has now just done another Brachioplasty to "fix" my arms.  I'm confident this 3rd procedure will be the charm for me besides there is noway I'd have my arms cut again.  There were some challenges but I think I will be very happy with the final results once I'm healed.  It looks like I may have popped open the incision in my armpit and may need to go and get it re-closed.

I posted a before and after and after revision picture on my profile...if you are interested you can go and take a look.

Thanks to everyone who has given me support and encouragement about my arms over this past year. (can you believe it is was only 1 day away from being exactly 1 year between brachioplasty procedures...kind of freaky)

Hi Ruth, The arms now look super. It was sad that you had to go through it 3 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How is the incision that popped? Do you have to go back to the PS?  What scar cream will you eventually use?      Gail ( I will have to tell you about the one I am using)

Hi Gail,
My surgeon likes us to use Vitamin E....I will do so but will also use Mederma which I've had good luck with in the past.
The popped incision is now being held together with Butterfly Bandages until I see him next Tuesday...then he'll stitch it up if needed.  Not a major problem....just always something.

Hope your arms are healing nicely.

I'm thrilled i still have NO SWELLING on my arms!

They look great,  Ruth. I love it that he moved the incision to the bottom. Your persistance and patience has finally paid off!

Yes he got the incisions real low...lower than I even expected....lol...hopefully it won't show along the back of the arms when someone is standing behind me..  They already look so much better than before.  WAHOO!!!

I can definitely see a huge difference with this 3rd revision....your arms look great!  I need to post some pics of mine too.  I'm 10 days post op and very satisfied with the results, even with the swelling.

I had several areas pop open on my thigh/groin that had to be re-stitched so I'm not so thrilled with them just yet.
