I'm currently stable at my weight. I have done research and found what i like to have done in regarding to plastics. However, what can I do to pay? My insurance will not cover any and I have bad credit due to an ex-husband. I believe I will not be happy with my body until this is complete. I'm on LOA from work because I will be graduating in May. Please give me any suggestions on how to go about this. Thank you.

Many of us consider MX for surgery. You get can get more at one time and it is cheaper than in the US. There is also going through residency programs in the US. The resident performs the surgery so the fees are less.

For my VSG I asked my mom to apply for the credit and I pay it back. My divorce left my credit a mess too. For my PS I am working extra and saving for a year. It's tough. Hope that helps to give you some options

For many of us it means saving up and paying out of pocket.
Some apply for Care Credit but it's gotten harder to get lately with the current economic state.

You may just have to take a second job and save up.......it will mean waiting but in the long run you'll be glad you did it.
Good Luck

I"m going to borrow from my 401K too! It is only 4% interest and that goes back to me! I have 5 years to pay it back.

For my TT and Brachio, I had a very generous boyfriend!

Can I borrow that boyfriend? LOL!!  How did you go about looking into borrowing from your 401K?  I really ythink that will be my only option.  Does your employer match count towards paying it back?  I am fully vested so that would be huge!!

LOL!  You're funny!

As far as borrowing from my 401K. I can borrow up to 50% of my total balance.  I just went to their online site and applied for the loan.  I decided I wanted the entire 50% - that way I can pay off some bills and have money for the recovery period too.

Some people use Plastic Surgery Resident training programs that offer lower costs.

I had a tummy tuck, bracchio (long scar) and MACS (for the neck waddle) in Cancun Mexico at the beginning of February. For the three, I paid $8300. It is significantly cheaper to use medical tourism but there are drawbacks. The biggest for me was not having a dr. to contact when I returned when my left armpit started bleeding 2 weeks post op. The US dr. I contacted wouldn't see me because he didn't perform the surgery. Alas, his nurse helped me and all is fine. I would go back if I was to have surgery again but I'm pretty sure I'm done since I'm relatively happy with the rest of the weight loss body.

I am putting back my income tax refund and I may have to wait until next year.  I'll be going to Mexico to Dr. Sauceda only because I have seen his work and talked to so many of his patients.  I thought it was a crazy crazy idea until I did my research on him.  I'm going to continue to save and then have surgery within the next year. I've never been good at saving but I am saving for this. If I have to borrow from my 401K I will.
