Hi Everyone, it has been a long time since I have updated my blog. I am now doing updates again as I am moving into the plastic surgery portion of my journey for anyone that is interested.
RNY 03/15/2006, lost 135-138
Breast lift/augmentation, tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo on April 10th
For Women only: A great resource for plastics is tummytucktalk.ning.com
This site is not only for tt, but all sorts of plastics. You must be a member so tell them that Lisa from MO sent you as a referral. This place is great and had the icky pics that I was looking for and details that I couldn't find elswhere online. Stuff I wanted to know before heading into surgery!
I actually blog at TTT, but I carry it over to here, so you will find it on my member page. My original journey starts about the middle of the page under the old page format, and then my blog starts above that and reads from bottom to top.
Hi Jay,
To be honest, I only went to two here in Springfield and then I started looking outside the US because I couldn't afford what I was being quoted.
I went to the surgeon that I did in Tulsa because my Gastric Bypass Surgeon recommended that I do. Since I went to 7 surgeons before him, I absolutely trusted his recommendation and that is how I found my PS. Details are in my blog on how the consultation went and how I liked the PS office.
Good luck on whatever PS you decide to go with. It is never too early to start the research process.
Soooo, how did it go? Did the PS have pictures and pricing? I find it funny that they always bring the most awesome pics and then when they get to costs, they say, well, the office handles that stuff! LOL!
Given how much weight you have lost/will lose, I cannot imagine that you wouldn't need skin surgery. At least a panniculectomy (no muscle repair or belly button moving, just skin removal) so that you don't get sores or infections under the fold.
