I am having my eyes redone and to save money I am doing it in the office so I won't be asleep. Am I crazy? Just wonder if anyone else has done this.

I didn't even know this was an option. I'm curious to know how it goes - I'm squeamish, I think I would want to be well drugged. Is this just an minor adjustment or a full blepharoplasty?

Cataract surgery and some other eye surgery is done with the patient awake.

I had my eyes done while I was awake, but not in his office in a surgi center and there was an
Anesthesiologist there, it didn't hurt it was just weird. I was awake but I couldn't move.
Good Luck you should be fine I m sure he does it all the time

Not plastics - but I had lasik last year....and though you could feel pressure with THAT it didn't hurt - but boy was it a psychological trip. I would at least ask for some valium! Im sure if they do it all the time awake - then it's probably not painful - but again - the thought hat someone is cutting you while you sit there - I really think that warrents some good 'stupid" drugs!

I've been thinking about this all day - LOL still squeami****hink it's probably best not to be put to sleep with anesthetic - less medication in your system is better for your body and for healing probably.

I will be numbed up and won't feel it. It is a revision because you can't tell it was done the first time. I just hope he gets it right this time.

Susie, what is that you aren't happy about?

I had my upper and lower eyes done at the same time I had my thighs done and in my after picture you do not see a difference in my lower eyes at all and minimal in the upper. I paid big bucks and expected more. Other people tell me this guy likes to do lots of revisions instead of all at once. I didn't know that before. I just do not want to go thru it again.

Wow, Susie, that's unpleasant - to have to go through the pain and stress a second time because he didn't do much the first time. I hope you're happy with these results - and I hope he isn't charging you much for this revision.

I had a lower bleph done while awake. Relaxed, but awake.

It was weird, but no pain, and was definitely worth sparing my system more anesthesia.
