for those of you who have had an arm lift how long was it after your surgery before you were allowed to drive again?

I had surgery on Friday and was driving by Sunday.  I had to be completely off of pain pills though.  But that wasn't a problem, ibuprofen worked well for me.

wow... I then should ask how long is your incisions?  Mine run from my elbow right up through my armpit and then down to join my breast lift incision so they could get rid of all the excess skin under my armpits in the bra line area.... I am not allowed to lift my arms very high right now which prevents the driving.

Mine is from my elbow into my arm pits as well.  I also had a breast lift & implants done at the same time.  I could move really well, but I shouldn't have.  That is probably why my arm pit incisions opened up...my own fault.

I had brachio, bl, and ba so my scar goes basically elbow to elbow via arm pits and breasts.  My surgeon said 7 - 10 days or until I can easily turn arm over arm on the steering wheel without pain and pulling AND I have to be off pain meds 48 hours.
Good luck to you.

I think my dr said to wait a week or two, but since I had my mom all summer, I didnt drive until 5 or 6 weeks post.  Good luck!
