Arm lift recovery

I had my arm lifts two weeks ago and I have been dealing with my arm pits for the last week.  I'm sure I did it too myself, by reaching too far for things, but I have opened up both my armpits.  They aren't infected but I'm having to make sure they stay clean.  My surgeon is having me put Desitin on them, she says the zinc in it is the best you can get.  she doesn't like neosporin at all.

So for all who are getting their arms done anytime soon....DONT fully extend those arms, especially when on pain meds and you can't feel the pain!!

Hey Stacey, Why doesnt your doctor like neosprin?  I had my arms done three weeks ago and I have been using the neosprine and my arms are healing good. I was just wondering why she doesnt like it?  Good luck with healing up.  Gail

She says that in 80% of her patients who use it for more than 5 days in a row end up getting contact dermitisis (I'm sure not spelled right).  So she doesn't like to use it for long term use.

Thanks Stacey, for the advice of what your doctor said I am going to pick up a tube of desitin and use it on my arms.  I havent used that since I put it on my kids bottoms to prevent diaper rash.

Wow! This is what I was worried about when I did my LBL. I felt good but my dr said just because you feel good doesn't mean you can start lifting things!

Thanks for this reminder. I am 2 weeks out and have been reaching for things because like you I'm not hurting anymore.

You mention that you had Lower Body Lift.

Did you have this "pulling" sensation in your mid-section?   I know the skin has to reattach to the muscles after being pulled down but this almost feels like a hernia.   I can't feel any lumps but the pain is worrying me.

Any advice you can give is appreciated.
This too will pass, like a kidney stone but it will pass!

Thanks for posting this. I'm going in for brachio/LBL on the 30th. I didn't even think about doing too much when you're feeling good or on pain meds. I will be careful not to pu**** Thanks so much and best to you on your healing!
