My Tuck,Lipo,Lift with Dr. LoMonaco - Experience!!!
Tuesday morning I went in and had a stuff nose and my period..not exactly the way I envisioned all of this begining but it didn't get me down at all!
Dr. Lo came in to do measurements and draw out some artistic lines all over and then told me he would see me in OR.
I remember being wheeled to the OR and remember seeing a bed with blowers in the sheets..that looks pretty neat - unfortunatly I was passed out befoer I got to climb into them! LOL!
When I woke tey were very quick to deliver nausea meds and I slept through most of recovery. I woke right before we went into my room and I met all the nurses.
My hubby said the surgery went well and that Dr. lo took some awesome pics of my skin behing held up (which iss going to email to me soon and Ill get posted for yall!) He removed about 8lbs of skin. Thats a LOT!
I could instantly tell my breasts were lifted as they were NOT in my armpits but had a nice full if not FIRM shape to them. My stomach I coudln't tell much about because it was in the garment and padded down a bit. I did get glimpses of it though and my new belly button whic I will also post soon.
So far the post op swelling seems to be mostly in the space between where my tummy binder and bra binder DONT meet. I seem to have SUPER wide rip cage because of this - which stinks but it's not the end of the world. My breasts are still swollen and one side a bit puckered in some spots- but since that didn't happen till I left the hospital -I think it's a swelling thing - not a probelm from my surgeon.
My surgeon was fantastic - he really held my hand the whole way thorugh this. In fact - I was in an extra night because I had some funky swelling on one side of my stomach that wasn'tdraining and he was worried I was bleeding internally and might have to go back into surgery. Luckily though my blood count islow - we were able to leave. But I have strict orders that if I show signs of shock or bloodloss again then I need to get to ER.
My post op bra which is the same band size as I am normally was not going to fit at all - and hubby had to run out for a 46!! It fits okay but hoping the swelling will go down at least a litle soon.
Other than that - not a ton going on - pain meds are begining to kick in so Im off here for a bit.

I'm glad you got through everything fine and are home recovering. Dr. Lo seems like such a caring surgeon. Don't be surprised if the swelling gets worse. It seems to be more under control the first few days then you sometimes notice a big difference a few days out. Just make sure you keep good tight compression on and it will help. I also really used the ice packs. Most of my swelling wasn't in my tummy area but went to my upper thighs. It didn't last but a few days. Best of luck to you, can't wait to see your pictures.
