When is too old for Plastic Surgery?

I am looking ahead.  I just had DS surgery last April and have another 28 lbs to go.

I have loose skin under my arms, in my belly and my upper thighs and butt are crinkled.

I am 58 years old and wonder if it is too old for surgery to repair these things.  I would like to have a Tummy tuck as well.

With all of this....what is my down time and is it better to do this in stages?

Thanks

Bonnie

You're not too old!   I had my TT in Nov. at age 57.  I'm planning to have an arm lift some time soon, hopefully in the next several months.
You need to talk to your dr. to see how many procedures he will do for you at one time.  Most will combine a couple of procedures, but not all.
  Good luck with it all!

I don't think you are too old....I've seen photos of women who are 68 who had their tummy's and arms done.
It really depends on your health...you and your surgeon can best say if you are a good candidate for plastics.

Start having some consultations to get an idea of what different surgeons would recommend for you.

if it makes you feel  better then do it for you  I had the same feeling  aww no I am to old  I am fine ..  I just did a panni  and I feel so much better about myself so the choice is up to how you feel and exactly what you want done. I  was informed that I could qualify for a reduction breast lift but I don't know yet look at my pics and get an idea of just the panniculectomy

 Hi Bonnie,

I'm also 58 and had p.s. a year ago. I intend to live until my 90's like my grandma and my mom is 84 yr. young, so I felt I still had 1/3 of my life left....why live it unhappy with your body?

I love my plastics and would do it all again in a heartbeat!

You go, girl!

If you are in reasonably good health you are never too old, especially if it makes you feel better!!  It is safer to do it in stages though.  A tummy tuck is major surgery and the down time could be up to two weeks.

Hi Bonnie,  Go for it Girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I know plenty of people in their 50"s having the plastics. You will be able to wear your clothes so much better and besides you deserve it after loosing the weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gail

I am 57 and have been having my plastics over the last two years.  Thanks to our DS we have lots of years ahead of us and there is no reason not to look as good as we feel.

I am 59 and had plastics 3 years ago. (Tummy Tuck and Buttocks lift)  If I could afford it, I'd have my thighs done now.
