Lurker coming out of the shadows......
Hello fine and BEAUTIFUL people of the plastic surgery forum. My name is Dawn. I had my RNY 7/30/2007.
A little over a year ago, I had Tufts Health plan as my insurance. a year ago, I was denied a needed panniculectomy. This denial led me down a bad path, which added to other things in my life helped contribute to my full mental and nervous breakdown. I am better now, mentally well, well as well as one can be.
Well, my insurance changed the beginning of this year to BCBS of MA. I went back to PS to see if I could get approval, and lo and behold, I was approved for my panni removal. It is on May 25th, and I am getting the anchor cut. While that has been approved, I decided I want MORE!!! So I am going back to PS to see if they will cover my inner thighs, to be done on the same day. I figured, what can it hurt? right?
This approval for panni, helped to shine a light on an otherwise just-getting-by- mood, and I feel like a weight has been lifted off of me. I am going to be free of this ugly skin, and hopefully on my inner thighs too!
Just thought I would introduce myself, and give you some backstory!! I am sure I will need support through this.

CONGRATS on losing your weight and keeping it off especially when going through a tuff time!
I had an anchor cut and LOVE my results!!
I'm going in to have the inner thighs done next week....I carried most of my weight in my butt and legs so I'm anxious to see how my legs will look after this is done (I already had the butt lift, the inner thighs is my last procedure).
Keep us posted on how you are doing.
Best wishes to you on your plastics journey!
