I had a TT 3 months ago.  I have not gained any weight....however, I am unable to fit into my skirts or pants.  I can't get them over my thighs.  Why would I have excess on my thighs?  anyone else expereince this?

It' sound like swelling to me.
Are you wearing a compression garment?  If not do yourself a big favor and get into one.  After my TT I had little to no swelling in my tummy but my Butt and Thighs blew up starting around day 4 or 5....I got into a compression garment and within 3 or 4 days almost all the swelling was gone.  I continued to wear my garment faithfully for the full 3 months and have had pretty much no swelling issues.  I was able to wear my pre-op jeans/pants every since the 2 weeks post-op point.

Are you saying you wear a compression garment for your thighs, or are you talking of the one for the actual TT?

The compression garment looks like a girdle...it goes from just below my breast to just above my knees....has zippers on both sides to make it easy to get on/off.  You need it to be tight enough to "squeeze" the fluid out and also helps the skin re-connect to the tissue post operatively.

Hope that helps.

how long do you have to wear this garment I really don't like to feel bound up.

It depends and varies for everyone.
I look at it this way.........by wearing it for 3 months after surgery I was never swollen and my skin healed beautifully.  It was a small price to pay in my mind for the great results I've gotten.
I'd rather wear the garment than go thru swell hell.......

The compression garmet I was given was only a band I wore around my abdomen.  I was told at 8 weeks to no longer wear it as my abdominal muscles were getting too weak...which was true.

That band is actually a "binder"  very tight around the waist.
The "compression garments" look like a high waisted girdle....(leg part goes to just above the knee or below the knee or even to the ankles).  It does not hold you in as tight as the binder but keeps the skin nicely pressed against tissue so it heals nicely and it helps keep down swelling.
I was in my "binder" for only a few weeks and then in the compression garment for 3 months.
