Thanks! Wow 130lbs is amazing! Too bad you had to lose it through illness. Aside from your current issue with pain, how are you doing health wise now?

I
lost it through diet and exercise and prayer! I made better food choices and exercised using  Nintendo's Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. It took approx. just under a year and a half. I had a botched hysterectomy in Dec of 2007, two weeks later my morbidly obese father died suddenly. I was scheduled in Oct 2008  to go for a revision. I weighed 273lbs and was a mess. I was having trouble breathing and scared to go back under anesthesia as heavy as I was. So around Sept of 2008, I decided to try to lose some weight before surgery. I lost about 19lbs. After my surgery I felt so much better by just losing the 19lbs that I decided to keep going. I prayed a lot. I didn't put tons of pressure on myself like I had done in the past when trying to lose weight. I just decided I would make better choices with food and move my body more. We bought the Nintendo Wii Fit for our boys and it was so much fun I just did that everyday and little by little the weight came off. I have to give all of the glory to God though. It was Him who gave me the strength to do it. He made the change in me, He made me want a different life for myself. I prayed for help and He listened. He lit a fire in me. After God fixed the outside, He started on the inside. I no longer had the food or weight to hide behind so I had to start facing the things in my past that caused me to be obese. God brought them to light and healed my past hurts. It was a tough, emotional time to go through. God brought me literally to the end of myself. It's not easy to face the darkest places in yourself. I am a new person now though, inside and out! Thanks to God!  He is my life and my strength!

I am having a lower body lift and arm lift on March 30th. Then I will have a total thigh lift and breast lift on June 1st. Thank you for your support and prayers. You are right, we need to cover each other in prayer and support each other.

God bless you,

Sandi

Hi Sandi.

How did your surgery go?  I hope you are recovering well.  I would love to get my arms, legs, and breasts lefted too, but my insurance would never cover something like that, plus, I am still recovering from this surgery.  I am just about 6 weeks post op and am still sore at times.  Well, I hope you are doing well. May God and His angels watch over you and may God bless you during your recovery.

Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? I say, what difference does it make--I paid for a full glass,so either way I am getting jipped!!!

Hello,
My surgery went exceptionally well! I'm doing great. Thank you for asking. I have all of my pre and post op pictures up on my profile if you are interested in seeing them. My surgeon removed 6.5lbs of skin with this surgery. How are you doing? So your pain has finally lessened some? Remember sister, our God is a big God and can make anything possible. Don't be afraid to ask for the desires's of your heart. God could make it possible to get the rest of the surgeries you would like to eventually have. Ask and believe Him for it. He can make a way. I know. He made it possible for me. He can make it possible for you. He loves you and knows you remember. I will pray in agreement with you. God bless you! It's nice to hear from you again. Thank you for the recovery blessings!

Have you talked to your doctor about the level of pain you are having?  Personally, I had little to no pain after the first 2 weeks (and most of that came from the very ends of the incision when I would twist or bend significantly).  Since the panni removal does not include cutting any muscle, there is usually not a lot of pain associated with it.
