Hi...

I am planning a upper body lift....Arm/ Breast. and was wanting to know how long did you need to take off work?  Also were any of you able to use short term disability?

Thanks Tina

Hi Tina,

I was off work 1 week. I had my surgery on a Friday (before Thanksgiving in 2008) and then took off the following week from work to maximize the number of sick days taken. I didn't file an disability papers, using just 4 sick days. In addition to breasts/arms I also had a neck and lower face lift (which hurt the most).

Good luck to you!

Kathie

Hi Kathie

Thank you for your response..I could use a neck and lower face lift also.. I do have a question...I do not want to tell people I work with what I am getting done....did you heal from your neck lower face in a weeks time...or were you able to tell that you had that done? If you do not want to answer I understand ( or if you want to pm me) would you mind telling me the cost of your upper body lift...

Thanks Tina

oh I checked out your profile you look great

Hi Tina,

I did tell my co-workers, but that's me. There is no need for you to tell anyone; it's your personal business. However, people talk and I'd rather be the first one to tell people what's going on rather then people gossiping and speculating about me.

Thank you for the kind remarks. I love the results of my amazing surgeon!

Hi Tina,

I think I still had some bruising at 2 weeks along my jawline. The worst part of my neck/lower face surgery was behind my ears...they really hurt for a long time. But hey, you can cover your ears with hair and no one would notice.

It's really no one's business except for you. Everyone heals differently ... I say, go for it!
