Chicagoland Plastic Surgeons; who did you go to?I
I am looking for a good plastic surgeon in the Chicagoland area to do BL/BA. Prefer all-in-one procedure and really cannot afford the lift first and implants second. If you had any experience with a great Chicagoland surgeon, I would love to hear about your experience (even if it wasn't BA or BL). Thanks!
Stella,
I have experience with 2 surgeons in St Charles. Dr B. G. was very conservative and would only perform the lift, implants separately. Dr Todd Hewell is fabulous. He will combine several procedures, and with confidence. I'm sorry I tried the other one first. Feel free to PM me for any more details.

I've used Dr. Kenneth L Stein for several procedures (414 Orleans very near the Mercantile Mart).
He has a certified in-office surgical suite which cuts down on hospital costs.
I had Smart Lipo inner/outer thighs and inner knees 9/08. Brachioplasty 1/09. Breast lift ONLY 10/09 Cynergy leg vein removal 3/8/10. I'm very happy with everything I've had done. He's an experienced, wonderful surgeon and has the greatest personality ever.
I live in central Illinois and have consulted with three other local plastic surgeons. I continue to drive 200+ miles to Dr. Stein. I thought his costs might be excessive since he's in Chicago but
his charges have been VERY comparable/competitive for everything.
I'm seriously considering a leg lift for this fall and of course, I'll go back to him.

Good luck with your decision and surgery.

Stella, I am starting my PS journey, so I am only in the research phase right now, so I only have my early-days research to share.
I asked this same question on the Illinois board and some folks there had some BAD experiences with some Chicago-area surgeons (bad enough that they PMed me versus posting openly). If you want to PM me, I can give you those docs' names and general stories. But please take that info wirth many grains of salt as they could be just a one-off bad experience. Then again, maybe not.
I have had two consults last week and I thought each doc was great, for different reasons. If anyone here has particular feedback about either of these docs, I would sure appreciate it ASAP! (It sure would help me to find out once was a hack or a creep, since this decision is haunting me!)
1) John Lease (St. Joe/Il Masonic)

He showed me what he could do for my saggy, droopy breasts with just a lift and I was impressed. BTW, I am not even dealing with my boobs right now--just lower body and arms, but I wanted to know what he thought. NOT warm and fuzzy.
2) Michael Lee (Northwestern Memorial)

He was kind and personable and seemed pretty smart and up-to-date on journals, best practices, etc.
I have a big decision ahead of me right now, so I am working through all of the issues.
Good luck to you!
