laying down in bed
Im having my extended tummy tuck on april 15th and i remember when i had my rny it was easier to lay in my recliner chair then flat on my bed bc its so high and i have to use my abs to get in it. how long was it before you could lay comfortable in bed?

I slept in a lift recliner for almost 2 weeks. My dr wanted me in a lawn chair position for that long. Even if he hadn't I wouldn't have wanted to lay flat anyway since I was sore. Once I did go back to bed I had no problem. Usually if you can walk standing straight you shouldn't have a problem. I used the lift chair just to make it easier for me and so I wouldn't have to worry about the lever in a regular recliner.
I didn't have a recliner so I set all the pillows up like a recliner in my bed. I put pillows under my knees and behind my back. It worked well! And I think the bed was much higher and easier to get in and out of.

I stayed in a recliner chair for the first 2 or 3 nights only because I was in an after-care facility and that's where they put me...LOL
When I got home I went straight to bed and had no problem....I was just propped up on pillows.
