Hi there!
I've been going to a plastic surgeon since October in Beverly Hills, CA. TOP DOCTOR! Dec. 23rd my paperwork was submitted to the insurance for my lower body lift and hopeful for a BL. They told me if would take about 8 to 12weeks. The holidays came by and I left it alone. Now I figure I would call my insurance and my insurance tells me that there is not file with my name on it.
I call the Doctor's office and they told me that it was submitted and that ins. companies would say something like that if they lost my file. OMG! I', so confused.
But anyway.... I'm going back this Thursday for an appt and to submit my paperwork again on Friday.

I hope I get approved. I'm soooo eager to get this done. I hope its covered....

Good luck with the approval.

I have Anthem BC HMO and Medicare. I need alot of work done. I am also hoping that they will cover most of it. I would love it if they covered it all but that is hoping for way to much. I will be looking for a PS surgeon in Northern CA I can not travel down south that is just way to far since I am close to Sacramento.

Let us know how it goes.

I have Anthem PPO.  They approved my BL and Brachio right from the start.  However, I had to appeal the LBL three times before they would approve it.  By then I already had the surgery so they reimbursed me partial payment for the dr fees.  Keep on top of them and don't be afraid to call often if you need to!  Good luck!

Thank you for your feedback. I just realized that #1, I've been going to an out of network surgeon. #2, is this problem that it doesn't cover, but it is necessary to have this surgery. LBL, I get rashy and its not pretty. Hahaha!
I think I'm going to start from scratch and go to a surgeon in my network and go from there. I feel so bad. I just don't know what to do and paying out of pocket will be tooo tight for me.

Thanks for your feedback.
