Has anyone gone back in after tt surgery to have their backside done?

I had a tummy tuck (lipo and augmentation) done on 2/22. My doctor wasn't able to do my breast lift because he won't go over 5 hours of surgery and my tt took longer than expected. I have to go back in for the lift in a month or two once the implants settle a bit. At the same time he's going to do a revision on my tummy tuck scar to fix the 'dog ears' on the back of my hips. He said he'll take off  more tissue and extend the scar out a bit to do so. Since he's already going back in, I'm somewhat considering just having him take the incisions all the way together so there's no fear of dog ears again, not to mention it'd be nice to have the smoothness on the back side too. He'll do it for me for just an additional $500!

I'm curious if anyone has done this in a 2nd surgery like this and what the recovery was like. I'm in total swell hell right now on my lower abdomen and am fearful of starting over with swell hell again. What is the pain like on the backside? Is it hard to sleep on your back? Asof now, my tt incision has never bothered me or hurt at all since it's numb. The only part that hurts is the ends where the dog ears are.

Thanks in advance!!

This is actually the way my surgeon wanted to do my surgery (I'm scheduled for April 7th); He wanted to do a TT/BL/BA, then come back later and do the backside. I'm a supervisor at my job and it's very difficult for me to be off work for a 2 week time period so I got him to agree to go the full LBL/BL/BA in one trip. He said as long as I'm doing well while under he'll do the whole thing.

I had my TT and then several months later had a butt lift.  Due to my clotting disorders my surgeon said that flipping me over during surgery would pose an additional risk.  So the plan was to do it in two parts all along.  I could not be happier with my results.  I had the auto-augmentation done.  It was far less painful than my TT.

I did it together but the back side was the easiest part of the LBL. I had no problems laying down although I slept in a recliner for 2 weeks. Just be sure you aren't trying to bend over until you are healed. The first PS I ws going to split it up and I really didn't want to do it. I ended up using a dr that did it together and I'm glad I did that way. I know a lot of drs fix dog ears in their offices with no problem since it's a minor procedure. $500 really sounds like a good deal too.

Hi!
Yep I did!
I had the TT on Sept 2nd and then did the Butt Lift and Outer Thigh lift on Dec 2nd.

I had no problems with my TT.....really no pain just some discomfort and of course lots of numbness(still have it).  I didn't swell much with my TT...the only swelling I did have was in my thighs and butt so I took the binder off and put on a compression garment...as soon as I did that the swelling started to go down.

With the LBL (butt and thighs) I did have swelling in my butt not really in the legs....but the swelling went down pretty quickly.  I had the auto augmentation so that I would not have a totally flat butt.  I posted pics on my profile (you have to be a friend to see them).  I am very happy with my results.

My butt is still almost totally numb....they say it takes a long time for the numbness to go away with the augmentation.  I have had no pain in the incisions. The first 3-5 days sitting is a little sore but I used a pillow on my chair and that made it fine.   Sitting is no problem since then......laying in bed is no problem...I sometimes sleep on my side, sometimes on my back.  FYI - right after surgery you have to sleep on your side if you have the augmentation.
Would I do the Butt Lift again...YES.....would I do the augmentation again...I'm not sure....I've got to wait to see/feel the final results in a few more months.  But my Butt looks great!  :-)

Hope that helps!!!

That's the way my lower body lift was done- first the tummy and a few months later the buttocks. My only problem was that you aren't allowed to sit up straight for about 10 days. You can sit at an angle but not straight, and that drove me crazy! I didn't have much swelling on the backside but you do have to be careful not to put much strain on the incision.
