Does it really take 6 months to a year for the lipo results to show?

yes, you can see some immediately but mostly all plastics  & Lipo results  can take that llong for swelling to go down & for u to see the final results, I had lipo done in Nov. and my surgeon says my results are not final I measure myself once a wee and the inches are still coming down

Yes it can easily be 6 months even a year to see the final results.  You do see some immediate results but things improve over the next months
I had lipo on my arms at the end of July and still they have been "shrinking"...they are still numb too!

Lipo is very invasive....it tears your body up and takes a long time to recover from it.

Shoot! I was thinking I was planning it perfectly to be recovered by summer. Looks more like Chirstmas huh. Well thanks for your replies.

Do you guys think the recovery from the lipo will be worse then the tummy tuck recovery? ( I got my tummy tucked 6 months ago)

Are you fully recoved from your TT? I am having both (TT & lipo) at the same time in May - & we have a trip to Aruba planned the end of September. I was hoping I'd be all healed & feeling good by then.

Thanks!

Yes I am fully recovered from my TT. The recovery wasn't too bad. I took 6 weeks off from work and by the 6th week I was good to go. Good luck with your up coming surgery!! : )

I wish I could answer that.  I had lipo on my love handles/muffin top last year.  1 week later I found out I was pregnant.  So as the lipo swelling was going down, my baby bump was appearing.

My baby is 6 weeks old now. I can tell a difference, but I also weigh about 20 pounds less than I did before getting pregnant.
