Arm lift results
Thanks
I had my brachioplasty done on Jan. 21st and I'm still swollen and can't really tell what the final results are going to be, honestly. I just saw my doc a couple of days ago and he told me to "be patient"... again. (I'm tired of being patient! I don't wanna!)
I think you're going to have to wait quite some time yet before you can really see what the results are going to be, unfortunately. A week just isn't enough time to tell, I don't think.
My doc did measure my arms before surgery, so I suppose at some point I will compare.
In the words of my doctor... be patient. (If he tells me that again, I'm gonna scream, just so ya know.)

I've heard almost always, the very huge upper arms, have to be done in 2 surgeries. My 1st was Jan. 2009 and revision Nov. 2009, and I'm still not done yet! I still have swelling even now. My ps is the best. He vows that no matter what, my end results will be just what I want. With encouragement like that, I am feeling very confident of my outcome! My ps did measure my arms prior to surgery. In my first surgery, I went from approx. 27" to 14". In the revision, I went from approx. 14" to 11/10". My swelling actually comes and goes in the left arm. I will say that my revision ps is not the same surgeon who did the original surgery.
Stacey, be patient. I believe that you will be happy with your results. I wish you all the best!
Blessings,

You really have to wait at least 2-3 months for the swelling to be mostly gone before you can truly be sure. Having said that I'll share my story.........
I had my Brachioplasty done in March 2009 (almost exactly 1 year ago).
From day one I did not think the surgeon took enough skin off....especially on one arm more so than the other.
Finally after 3 months the surgeon agreed he could take off more. Instead of doing the lipo and skin removal like we discussed the surgeon only did the lipo during my revision. So now I'm still left with wrinkled saggy skin. UGH!!!!!!
Looooong story short I switched surgeons and my new surgeon will be doing my 2nd revision to finally get the arms right for me. (FYI - I love my new surgeon....he's done my TT, LBL, Breast lift, and is doing my Inner Thighs and arms in 2 weeks).
Best wishes....I hope your arms turn out really nice for you!
I'm just curious, in case I have to go that route. I pray I won't need any sort of revision surgery, but ya never know.
Thanks,
Nicci
