burning feeling in abdomen...

I'm 6 months out from my tummy tuck / ventral hernia repair / scar revision... and am still getting a burning feeling in my lower abdomen, just to the right of my belly button....more so when i stand up completely straight or arch my back / lean for something...

I'm going to bring it up at my next follow up next week but I was wondering if this was normal or if anyone else had this feeling?

It's not extremely painful but it's a little annoying....I did have ALOT of muscle work done to help close the huge hernia...so maybe that has something to do with it?

Hey Adam, I think you should call your doctor just to be on the safe side.  Im sure everything is fine but just to make sure.  Hope your feeling better.  You look great!!

It sounds like an adhesion/scar tissue that forms as a result of the surgery..

I also had a huge hernia repair with my abdominoplasty and a year later I still get some pressure/burning sensation around the new belly button as well.  My doc said it is probably scar tissue/adhesions as well.  It's not all the time and it's bearable but I hope it doesn't get any worse for sure.
