At my consult yesterday the doc said she send you home with Lortab 5mg tablets. That doesn't seem like much to me. What were you guys sent hom with after a TT?

I was sent home w/ Darvocet 100mg take 1-2 every 4-6 hours. I was also given a RX for valium for muscle spasm not sure but I think that was 5 or 10 mg.

Had my surgery Monday morning.  I am not really in pain at all.  They sent me home with Darvocet and I havent taken it.  I just feel drawn down tight.  Not really in pain.  I do have a good tolerance for pain anyway.  But I think Lortab would do just enough.

Good luck and remember to keep a positive attitude.  It makes all the difference in the world.

Huge hugz,
Tracy

I had vicoden for each of my surgeries.  1 or 2 every 6 hours.  They worked well for me.

I think that is what I had. You will be fine. I could have actually just took tylenol. But I might have a higher pain tolerance than others. I took the surgery and pain very well.

I stayed overnight in the hospital and had morphine every 4 hours.  I wasn't sent home with any pain medication but I did have an On-Q pain pump.  I took Extra-Strength Tylenol.

In the hospital I get IV morphine and dilaudid tablets for break through pain. I am sent home with dilaudid.  I  have a bad reaction to the oxycodone/vicadin type pain meds.

Let me just go ahead and admit that I am the weenie of the bunch on here.  I took percocet 10mg alternating with demerol at first, then stepped back to lortab 10mg, then to ultram 50mg, which I still take occasionally.  Even with a hefty dose of those meds, I still had breakthrough pain for the first few days.  After about 2 1/2 weeks it has started to become bearable.  I thought I had a high pain tolerance until I had this tummy tuck.  Guess I don't!

I'm taking Percocet 1-2 every 4 hours. I have times when I don't need any for 6 hours, but then there are times when I need the full dose, usually after I've done something strenuous. I'm 1 week post op.
