Had my consult-Super Excited!
So I had my first consult today. How did everyone chose their plastic surgeons? The one I went to was recomended by my surgeon as well as my OB/Gyn (who also had work done by her). However, this plastic surgeon was not recomened by a local WLS message board here. Everyone spoke very poorly of her, especially for tummy tucks. They also mentioned long wait times in the office and poor bedside manner. I loved this woman. I waited 15 minutes total and she spent 30 mins in the room with me. She was also very personable and actually made me feel good about myself for once. I don't know what to do because I hear conflicting reviews. How did you chose your surgeon?

I interviewed (aka had consultation) with 5 or 6 surgeons before I found the one I knew in my gut was right for me. I just knew it.
Listen to your gut !!!!!! I did not do that a year ago when I first started and I'm facing my 2nd revision to fix my arms...if I had listened to my gut I would have kept looking for another surgeon.
After the mess up with my arms I started searching again and found the surgeon I've been going to ever since and I ADORE my surgeon now. He did my Tummy Tuck, my LBL, Face/Eye work and will be doing my Inner Thighs and FIXING my arms in 2 weeks. You will know it when you find the right one for you.

Ask lots of questions & do a lot of research. Don't let a docotor poo-poo any of your questions. I have been e-mailing my PS about once a week - with every question I can think of - from the number of drians, to the type of impants for my BA, to the name of the pain meds, etc.
He is responsive & knowledgable. He has even sent me links to review the types of impants I will be getting (they are from France called EuroSilicon) and sent me a quick link on a n actual TT.
Then check them out & ask around!!
