I think they are turning down everyone.I haven't heard of anyone getting approved. Needless to say I am very upset and not sure if I even want to spend the time fighting for reconsideration. Depressed is the best way to describe how I am feeling right now.

Sorry to hear this.
I know it stinks to not have insurance pay...I've been self-pay for everything.
What procedure are you trying to get them to cover?  I've seen posting from lots of people with Tricare who get procedures approved so don't give up too easily.
Hang in there.

I'm curious also on what procedure they turned you down for. I just had my tummy tuck through tricare. Maybe it's dependent on where you live.
Good luck and don't give up!

I was hoping for a panni removal, I had documents from doctors but it didn't help.

I had a TT in November approved by Tricare.  I also had documetation of rashes going back quite a while.  They told me that I had to be at a stable weight for six months.  The surgeon put in a referral to a PS and then the PS's office compiled all the info from pcp, derm and submitted it and was approved pretty quick.

my denial said it had to be done with another medically needed surgery. I had documented rashes and visits. Maybe just not a good doctor requesting it.

Try again. I've know Tricare locally to pay for 3 TT's. Hang in there.
