Home from surgery (long)

Last time I got my lift chair from a medical supply place.  They had a few there for me to sit on and try out. Since I'm short I needed a smaller one.  They only rented them for a month at a time and they were a little pricey.  I got this one from Rentacenter for about $20 a week.  It's very comfortable and soft.  The only thing is that it does not recline as much as the last one I rented.  That one was almost flat when it reclined.  Your mother won't need to lift you but rather just provide support for your hands or help pull you up a bit when you get up, if  she's strong.  I was able to push myself up from the recliner but preferred not to the first couple of days.  Someone also recommended using a walker in the bathroom to help get up too in case you need extra support.  I got one for my last surgery for $10 at a church resale shop.

Oh yeah, the walker is a good idea and I already have one at home.

Thanks, I really appreciate all this info, kinda glad my date was changed until after you because I am not prepared yet.
