were you nervious
Hi all
I figure this is the best place to get answers to my question is here, where others have had TT's
I'm scheduled for mine next Friday here on Ontario Canada
My first question is were any of you worried how you would look after wards? Will you look like the picture you created in your head
Did you feel a difference soon after surgery? I'm thinking with the binder on and all touching the tummy may seem the same
Is it a good idea to have larger panties to go over the bandages.
I don't know about any of you but I got the biggest pleasure out of tossing my large ones as soon as I could. Now I'm thinking I should have kept a few
Any advice how to prepare myself for what I will see in the mirror
I'm having the anchor cut as my surgeon will be bringing my sides in and removing the lower skin
Thanks for viewing and to those who answer thank a million

I was never nervous for my LBL, I was really excited. I finally wanted to know what it would be like to not have a roll on my stomach. Never was disappointed and was amazed the first time the binder came off and I was able to see the flat stomach. I think I felt a difference right away because everything was so tight.
Personally, I never wore underwear during my recovery. Went commando the entire time until I had to go back to work. It was much easier to do it that way because of the drains.

I was very nervous before my extended abdominoplasty , lipo and breast reduction and lift ..but the results were fabulous ..very flat tummy , perky boobs and hour glass figure ..it was worth the discomfort following surgery .Dr law in Kitchener did mine ..great job ! I have pics of me in a bikini on my profile pics ..go see ... I am sure you will be thrilled too . Little knickers will work fine ...or comando as the other poster said . Dont buy any more big panties ..it would be a waste .
Good luck .

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Nervous....sure, you bet.
It's normal to be nervous and excited all at the same time. I normally get really nervous about 10 days before surgery and then about 3 days before I become more excited than nervous.
With my TT I wasn't afraid about how I'd look....I figured without all that hanging skin it would be terrific. I was worried how the rest of the LBL (butt and outer thighs) would look because I really wanted them smaller....
After the TT (and every surgery that touches the lower body) I've worn a compression garment so I didn't have any underpants on. Once I started to wear panties again I wore my new small ones. :-)
FYI - you should get some mens tank tee shirts....wear it tucked inside your compression garment. It not only helps keep it clean but the biggest benefit is it stops the garment from rubbing against the incisions.
I too had the anchor cut and am just THRILLED with my results!!!!!
I have pics posted for friends to see....send me a request if you are interested.
Best wishes on your journey!
Ruth
