I haven't have done but I say go for it! My mom got her first tattoo as a Christmas present the year she turned 59 and she wants another one now. She said she should have gotten it years ago!

Go for it. But....I had mine pierced 2 X and both times had it ripped out (the job I do). But anyways...the tummy tuck took care of the scarring of my bellybutton and not I have a nice smooth tummy again...or at least will have when all the swelling goes away from the TT.

WOOHOO girl!  You rock!  Go get one and be sure to take pics and show us!  LOL

I'm not anywhere near close to doing anything like that... I still have quite a bit of swelling and my scars aren't where I'd like them to be - but who knows in the future???

I had mine pierced in my early 30's and it never really fully healed it was always a little icky.   If you do go for it make sure the don't make the piercing too deep, keep it as close to the outer skin as possible so it gets air and doesn't get infected like mine did.

I have a really cute pink gold with a pink pearl belly ring I'll sell ya cheap ;-)

Great advice! My 1st navel piercing was too deep and it was so high maintenance to keep clean. I took it out for 4 months and got it re-pierced, shallower the 2nd time, with a 12 guage ring instead of a 14, and I have never had a problem with it. That was 8 years ago and I still love it- I say go for it!
