How Long Before You Took A Big Trip??

I know - I know - everyone is different & there are a lot of questions about how long to take off from work. BUT ~ here is my scenerio:

I have a TT with lipo, arms with lipo & BA scheduled for May 25th.

We have a week long trip - scheduled September 24th - in Aruba. I am a SCUBA diver & we have a number of days where we planned on diving.  Do you think I'll be up for it??

Last night while talking to hubby about it ~ he said I'll have to do a buoency check dive - as I plan on getting D implants!! I never even thought of that!! lol (I am a flat B now so the D's will make me float!! - I'll need to adjust with more weights - or will the lipo fix that??) hhhmmmmmmm

Our trip will be 4 months after the procedures ~ and my surgeon said it takes up to 6 months to see the results ~ but I am more concerned about the travel/diving.

What do you all think??

Thanks so much!!

I think you'll be up to it.  I was really wiped after surgery but feel great now at 8 weeks out.  At 10 weeks, I'll be going to Phoenix for 10 days and feel l'll be up to whatever we're planning to do.

No question --Yes!   I'm only 3 months out and have taken 4 hours flights, gone to the pool, etc.  I haven't been diving yet.  I don't think you'll need that much more weight to offset the implants.  They are pretty solid but lightweight, from what I've felt in the doc's office.  You may, however, need just a bit of counter weight in the back of your BC.  Can you  do a refresher dive at one of the local dive schools?  I know ours allows it all the time for a small fee and as long as you don't interfere with an ongoing class.

Have fun.  I'm jealous!

It's not how fast you go, but that you're moving in the right direction!

That is a great idea!! With new boobs & the lipo ~ I'm thinking the weight to get me down will be the same - I may just need to re-distribute it. Like use ankle weights!!

Thanks!!
