Okay, not sure how to really say it, but after have a TT(Panni)and hernia repair 3 weeks ago, my Who-haw is SOO freakin swollen, Now.... the surgeon doesn't have too much to say about it. Just that blood/ fluids are being rerouted, and until they know where to go, so for now it is gigantic.

Just wondering if anyone has had this happen?
does it go away-- eventually?
Any advice would be great....

Yup!  I was sporting a Ken Doll for a long time!
I mentioned this to my doc at home and he said, "I'm a man, I never looked at a ken doll, but I do remember what Barbie looked like!"

It did not happen, though if it had I'm sure my husband would have been intrigued!

Swelling accumulates in areas beneath surgeries, it seems to me.  I have no idea why.  It stinks.  But it also goes away (eventually).

Hope your new ... stuff ... is at least entertaining!

(If this happened to men, the surgery would be in tremendous demand, whether necessary or not!)

Yes I also call it my Cod piece, any MAN would be proud of.... It wasn't large after surgery, it didn't happened until the second day after the surgery... it's all very wierd...

Yup, I am in the same boat as you.....Mine protrudes while wearing pants so it looks like I have a 'package'.....I had a TT and BL on 2/3/10, so I am exactly 4 weeks out.  The major swelling started I would say almost a week ago, once they removed my last drain.  Up until then the swelling was mostly centered around my belly button.  Now the mid-section swelling has gone down a bit and the below the incision swelling (aka the Ken Doll) has increased.  Also, its a bit sore sometimes to the point where I feel like I might have been kicked there.

I think we just have to give it some time....

Happy unswelling...Courtney

It's like "HELLO" down there! As soon as my drains came out, it began to swell.  My doc said it was completely normal, that gravity will pull the fluid to the lowest place possible and unfortunately, that's the place for us women!  I am three weeks post op tomorrow, so I'm hoping it wont last too much longer!
