pain pumps
I have no idea why some prefer and some don't. The first Dr I was gonna use didn't use it but then I switched and they did use it. Of course if you never used one or have used one, you really can't speak for the other if you used for the TT or LBL, but I definitely think it helped! My pain wasn't as bad as I expected so I'm assuming it's because of the pump. You don't even feel it coming out either. I think it was worth it.
I'm 5 days out from a TT and I have the On-Q Pain Pump. I have a feeling it was instrumental in helping me with any pain. I had practically zero pain other than where my incision for my drains were. Other than that, I mostly had soreness from my arms/legs from using those to move myself around.
I, too, wondered if it was working because the ball was always full in it's little fanny pack pouch but then all of a sudden it seemed like it just started going. It's empty now and I go to my post-op tomorrow so I'll have him remove it then. I'm going to keep the little fanny pack, however, if he leaves one or both drains in because right now I have the drains inside of the little fanny pack. lol
