I will certainly be asking the PS about the cost of a full tummy tuck.  It all comes down to $$$.  The panni removal will be free, so I am grabbing that while BC still offers to pay for it!  I will never wear anything where you can actually see my stomach, so I am not so concerned about a full tummy tuck.  My legs (thights mostly) are just horrible looking with all the loose skin and wrinkles, so I am wondering if I will ever be in a public pool again!  I rarely did it at 330, but at 185 with all the "extras", I think I would get more negative looks than ever before.  Don't need that!  I will let you know how the appt went, and thanks for offering up your ps!

I have BC PPO as well and as of right now, my case is in their office pending approval (or in review as they say)
I'm actually going only for the panni removal as this is a mid journey one. I still weigh a lot (have lost 150 on my own though) but my panni is HUGE... Yes, I have rashes, etc.. My PS agrees it needs to come off so I can move around and exercise, etc. I am crossing my fingers BC approves the removal. I have every criteria they want except for the lower bmi.
I guess it depends on your particular plan whether they need rash documentation or not.. You can look on your plan booklet I would thing. My plan says the panni needs to hang below the pubic area, have problems with rashes, etc..
Anyway, good luck and please keep me posted as to what they say to you!

I had RNY back in September of 2008 and was on this forum to see *if* BCBS PPO covers any plastics after WLS....I'm shocked (and amazed) to see this thread! I'm so hopefull! I've not had any rashes due to the hanging skin either, but I do get uber sweaty and overall 'icky' feeling...and notttt looking forward to a hot summer with a flab of hanging skin!

Thanks for this info, I'm going to contact my insurance and see what they say, and make a consult with a few plastic surgeons!
